Meatloaf

Classic meatloaf with cheese and carrots mixed in. The glaze is the move.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 slices bread, crumbled
  • 1½ pounds ground beef
  • ½ yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded carrot

For the Glaze

  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Add crumbled bread and stir until dissolved.
  4. Mix in ground beef, onion, cheese, and carrot.
  5. Transfer to a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  6. Combine brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard; spread over the top.
  7. Bake until no longer pink in the center, 1 to 1¼ hours. Internal temp should hit at least 160°F (70°C).
